Been here a couple of times and the food and service was great on both occasions. There was no background music and wasn’t too busy so could benefit from some music to add to the atmosphere. Otherwise, definitely a new favourite Indian restaurant for dine-in and takeaway.

We enjoy Indian food and so we decided to try the Monsoon in Browns Bay that has replaced the Bollywood. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. The $15 lunch menu (with a $5 upgrade to include a Kingfisher beer) offers a range of standard choices, all served with poppadom, curry, rice, and naan bread. We chose the Saagwala lamb and chicken Monsoon special curry, to share. The service was prompt but the meals took quite a while even though they were not very busy. The meals when they arrived were very well presented and appetising. The saag was very thick and tasty. The chicken was very tender and the curry delicious, but lacked the depth of spicing one would expect. The naan breads were great – light, flakey and fabulous. Good value lunches.

Disappointed with last nights takeaway.Garlic and cheese naan bread was really soggy and the fries were really soggy, definitely reheated from the day before in my opinion.Im not usually one to complain but I paid $40 to feed one person and the main doesnt include rice so its not on the cheaper side for a takeaway. On a positive note the main was tasty and the delivery was on time with a polite driver.

Love the butter chicken from here, will not order it from anywhere else! and the naan bread is amazing they just need to add an online option to combine cheese and garlic!

Actually quite happy about dining here. The place looks amazing rice did seem to have been microwaved but the curries were absolutely amazing. Had a new server who was okay but did forget our fanta but totally fine with that as the food made up for that.

Date night saw my boyfriend and I dining here for the first time. To begin with, it took a long while for a server to approach us and take our order. However, the woman was very well mannered so it dismissed how much we waited. My boyfriend ordered the apple cider and the chefs style butter chicken, whilst I ordered the mango lassi and the mainstream butter chicken. We also ordered Onion Bhaji to share and a garlic naan. I LOVED the Onion Bhaji. It was tasty, crispy and the sauce that accompanied made for a beautiful flavour combo. The mango lassi was delicious also. However, after we were done with our appetiser, we waited 45 minutes for our mains. In this time I watched three tables that arrived after us receive their food before we did. For the wait( and the price) , the butter chicken was average. Chefs style butter chicken had bones, which was not mentioned, and my boyfriend got more chicken bone than meat. However, the garlic naan did save the day – it was tasty. Im not too sure whether I would come back again, they seemed understaffed. If I were to come back again it would probably be for an appetiser and a mango lassi. For the same quality butter chicken, I could dine cheaper elsewhere.
