Theres always a lot of people in the bar area downstairs ,although I havent been in the upstairs restaurant in a year or so so its hard to comment on that but the food is always pretty good here and the service is great. The only down side for me is sometimes the doors are left open and there may be a person smoking outside and it drifts inside witch Isnt a really bad thing for most but if your an asthmatic I would advise going to the upstairs instead of bar.
Went here a couple of weekends ago. We dined at the restaurant part – Portabello which is quite nice and we were pleasantly surprised by the ambience. Staff were friendly. We stopped in here with friends just for mains. Between us we ordered the same dishes- Lamb Shank ( single ) and the Chicken Supreme. The lamb shank was a generous portion and cooked well however the potato mash was average. Hubby and friend didnt enjoy the Chicken Supreme due to lack of favour and found the portion size to be small. Overall and okay dining experience.
