If there was ever a time NOT to judge a book by its cover, this would be it. I always thought The Pukeko’s Nest was just another tacky bakery. Nope! They actually do pretty tasty meals, at quite a decent price. I haven’t had a chance to try any of the bakery type food in the cabinets. But the hot cooked meals, I would say better than some of the more up market looking places in the area. Service was very fast also.

A lively, traditional style cafe with friendly and helpful staff. Their coffee is a good strength and the lime tart is particularly delicious!

This cafe is away from the main drag of Pukekohe, but well worth a visit. We both had full flavoured coffee’s and a slice of cake. I changed my mind several times before settling on the Bailey’s & Mars slice, my wife had the Custard Slice. Both our cakes were nice and filling without being to big and sickly afterwards.Staff were friendly, the cafe was clean and tidy, several times the staff checked that everything was clean and, also changed the serving utensils.

Haven’t been for a while but we called in for lunch today. All pies and sausage rolls purchased were only just warm. Brownie not that nice. Milkshakes were nice. I think we will skip next time.

Great place! I thought the prices were good and the eggs benedict we had was lovely. I am a very fussy coffee drinker and my soy cappuccino was great. I will be going back again. The seats are comfy and there is plenty of free parking on the street and in the car park.

Any time I need to stop in Pukekohe I always find myself ending up here for a bite to eat. The restaurant’s interior is not about to win any awards for its looks but it’s homely and suits the town. The staff are lovely and the service is very fast! I find the food is just standard average cafe food but it’s what you expect when you walk in. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to blow your socks off.
