Really impressed with the service from start to finish. Able to customize the menu to help with gluten free and they provide small portions of the dishes for kids rather than serving the generic chips meals. My salmon soba noodles was sans-soba as they use noodles that are not gf (all buckwheat ones would be better) however the salmon was perfectly cooked and a tasty meal. The Baja taco for the other half was interesting but lacked a little spice (just personal preference). The littlest one loved the playground right outside and even better I could enjoy my well made coffee outside with a proper cup instead of a takeaway cup.

I would rather give this cafe a 3.5, but that’s not an option anymore. I really liked the menu here, it’s not your standard boring cafe menu, everything has something a little extra and sounds really tasty. I ordered a hot chocolate, I forgot to ask for it to be half strength, as most places overkill it, and sure enough, it was gross, way too sweet. I ordered the french toast for brunch which came with meringue, some kind of strawberry sauce, cream, nut and maple syrup. The waitress asked me if I wanted to add bacon so I said yes, big mistake! The bacon was cold, it was a horrible thick slab of just budget seeming, fatty bacon, so I didn’t eat it. The french toast was slightly dry, I guess because it was so thick, it couldn’t absorb I would also like to try other items on the menu as they sounded great too.

Yakety Yak never fails to have a great coffee or Hot chocolate on any day of the week. Ive tried a few of their cakes and cookies and they are also amazing.
