We had recently bought a grab one voucher that allowed for $40 value ($20 cost) that could be used on any cake. We chose the elegant classic chocolate cake. The actual cake is decent, definitely just a basic chocolate cake that is good. I don’t find it particularly exciting but it’s a nice cake for an occasion 🙂 Unfortunately they forgot my writing on the cake that I had paid for, but apologised as soon as I realised and offered to refund the difference (that was charged for writing -$5) which was very good. I had called a few times to ask the store about suggestions and recommendations and both staff I had talked to were patient and super lovely so great service from them
It’s a rule at work that you have to bring in a cake on your birthday…so lucky for us one of the girl choose to bring one in from The chocolate cake company. We had the chocolate caramel mud cake (10 inch) which was great for a large group. The caramel was very subtle, with just a thin layer under the usual chocolate frosting. The cake was moist and not too rich, although the edges of the cake were a little dry. As you only need a small slice it works well for feeding a crowd.
