Average fish and chips, handy for people who are visiting the beach. Milkshakes are good, hot dogs were a bit dry. Pineapple fritters are yummy, with a decent coating of cinnamon sugar, unlike some places who skimp. Good A rating.
This shop is cockle bay’s best kept secret apart from Jerry who pooped his pants in school of course. The crunchy golden joys they call chips make Cadbury jealous. I would recommend this place to everyone but then there would be an even longer wait aye. Go eat the non-existent food from the bakery 20 metres away. Chur.
Now fk da haters. This place produces the best chips I’ve had anywhere right now. I’ve gone to multiple restaurants and they cannot produce such golden heaven that focus on fish can. These chips are the best thing produced in this world right now.
Excellent local takeaway , handy to Howick beach and Cockle Bay good for grabbing takeaways before going down to the beach for a evening picnic, or after a day at the beach .
Hotdogs were small and dry. Chips were aaaverage and chewy. Bacon and egg burger was also very average. Don’t buy cheesy weezy chips unless you like chewy mild cheese melted in clumps which you could do a much better job of at home. These chips tasted microwaved. Will not be returning. Howick Noodle Box is 10x better.
The service is friendly and the food comes out quickly.The chips are always hot and well seasoned but sometimes the quality fluctuates. You get a mixture of brown and golden; soft and stale chips.They get really busy afterschool and dinner time so it’s best to call in advance.
This out-of-the-way fish and chip shop is the best out East. We have tried most of the fish and chip out this way and this is far above the rest. They are light on both oil and salt. There was not much oil at the bottom of the paper and we had to add a little extra salt for our taste. Great place would recommend to others and also go again.
