Great atmosphere and good beer. The place was packed for a weekend afternoon, with lots of birthday celebrations going on. The food was great too, but am I out of touch with Auckland food prices or is this overpriced? 4 pieces of chicken drumlets (mind you its not drumstick, but drumlets, that the 1/3 end of a chicken wing thats shaped like a drumstick) for $19. And its listing under the sharing plates isnt misleading to think its a large portion?! I dont know what there really was to share about it. It was amazing though, probably the best smoky bbq wings I have ever had with a crispy skin.. but I cant get over how tiny the portion was versus my expectations.

Beef burger and chorizo with mushroom and chilli was spicy pizza but it was so amazing beef burger I shared my friend thought it was really well made burger and we tried beer tasting.

Went along for a birthday dinner, nice place inside, good service.Had the #1 beer which was nice, but a lemon lime and bitters was very minty almost like toothpaste, not sure what that was about. The Japapeno poppers were good :)The steak was well cooked medium rare as requested but a bit slim on the plate, with steak and garnish only, so do what i did and get a bowl of fries (which turns out are potatoes)Desert was a dissapointment as everything except ice cream and panacotta was off the menu, so went with the pannacotta to be told that there is only 1 left and we should share. went without in the end and stopped at burger king for a sundae. All in all a nice place, would go back and try again

Hallertau brewery out west is super chill place to down a few glasses of craft beer and have some delicious food. What I love about this place is the amount of space they have, lots of open spaces, lots of tables, huge bar area, and a playground out back for the families with young ones. You get lots of choice when it comes to beer, and the food is pretty delicious too, it’s not super amazing but I think you’ll be wanting to come here for the environment and the atmosphere, which is top notch.

Great if you like craft beer. Less so if you like food. Also great for kids because of the cool playground. The food was ok but patchy in terms of quality. Beef krokets and jalapeo poppers are awesome. Steak not so good. Must try as a good place to chillax on the weekend though.

Good place to chillax with friends, if you like Hallertau beer.Expensive menu. We order an IPA and a tasting paddle (4 beers, approx 100-150ml…prices as expected) and started with the beef krokets (croquettes), which were $19 for 4 finger sized pieces.Expensive……but they were delish! I recommend them.Burger & fries $22, pizzas from $26, lamb shoulder $32……The beers were ok. I tried the IPAs and a weird lemon curd beer (seasonal) in the tasting paddle of 4.We finished with the jalapeo poppers which were $13.Basically, 2 beers (pints) and two entrees…..$60

A gem in the West. We went there for our Xmas lunch with colleagues from work. The beer is great but the food… amazing! Prices could be a bit lower, but you get really good quality. Returning soon for sure.
