Given them a few chances and they muck up every time. From getting orders wrong, food tasting off to missing whole items off the order. Finally I am forced to give them a 1 star something not often done by myself. Very overpriced and even at 1 star – overrated!
This place is inconsistent in its quality. A few weeks ago my fish and chips were fine. This time the fried hoki was dry and stringy and foul smelling. It was so bad I had to throw it away and am worried that I’ll be sick.
This place is TERRIBLE. I don’t review…but had to.I have lived in Devonport for many years and of course use local take away services on odd occasions. I order 2 Terakihi and large chips – surely this could satisfy two hungry customers for their Friday night takeout? No. I counted the chips – 49 in total and one small piece of fish and then, most oddly, three tiny pieces of terakihi that must have been masquerading as the second piece of fish I had ordered. TAKING THE PISS.So, as any normal person would do; I called up. I am polite and start to explain about the disappointment. I am met with a barrage and yes I mean barrage of words from the owner about how they measure the chips and how I am wrong and so it goes on for about ten minutes. I couldn’t get a work in edgeways. I am so amazed by the lack of customer service that the whole idea of that disappeared and I have taken it personally. How is it that you can serve a subpar meal at high takeaway prices, argue with the customer and still have a viable business? Please don’t go here out of principle because not only will you be disappointed with the portion size and your expectation of a good NZ takeaway, but you will be ripped off and abused in the process if you DARE to complain politely about the situation. Shocking and in a small town….really??? Have a word with YOURSELVES Delissimo and needless to say this will be talked about in the town.
