Was in heaven when I visited this store. Glorious experience surrounded by lush chocolates that can only make someone so dreamy like Willy Wonka. The Bushmills Whiskey Cups were smooth and first time for me to eat a two carat gold as a topping. Couldn’t complain about it. It was satisfyingly heaven in my mouth. The Creamy Caramel was also my favorite. Not too sweet. Didn’t stick between teeth so it was easy to eat.
Samples of chocolates were offered once we stepped in the shop. It is rather small but with an excellent display of nice & good quality chocolates. Staff was cheerful. One can even see chocolates being made through the glass window at the rear of the shop. Just couldn’t resist buying a few.
Beautiful chocolates and the hot chocolate was perfect after a chilly winters ferry ride and wander around the foreshore with the kids. A great winter excursion for the family.
Devonport chocolates something i buy for clients on Christmas day. Really good quality chocolate although very pricey compare to other brands. Love their dark chocolate for night treat
The best little chocolate shop with a factory attached so you can actually watch the Oompa Loompas making the little parcels of joy. OK, I’m joking about the Oompa Loompas but the smell is just divine and the chocolates live up to the hype.My favourite was the salted caramel but there’s a huge range that caters for all tastes. I will definitely go back every time I’m in Devonport.
I love chocolate and all but sometimes too sweet is just TOO sweet. I do enjoy some Devonport Chocolates like their truffles, otherwise I find that some flavours disappoint. This isn’t my favourite place to get chocolates as the first and only time I came here, the few chocolate that I purchased didn’t blow me away.
Since I drove 50mins to get to Devonport I though I would try out their chocolates since the shops was named after the place. At $2.50 a truffle they were precious little morsels. I grabbed a Salted Caramel Rum and Hazel Chocolate truffle. The shop is quaint and quite with a large window at the back to the kitchen to see all the magic happen. The customer service was minimal and rushed. I’ve got to say the Salted Caramel Rum was a let down. I love everything salted caramel but the truffle was overpowered with rum essence that I couldn’t taste anything else. The hazelnut was the saving grace with a rich ganache centre and hazelnut core. I probably wouldn’t come again. They’re ridiculous overpriced.
