Came here for high tea to celebrate a special occasion with friends. Nice setting and average service but was rather disappointed with the food. The teas were presented on a lovely looking menu but when served were pretty ordinary. All the food was cold although I am not sure if they were served warm and left sitting on the tables for a while before we arrived. The scones were dry and the pastries were hard (like they had been left out too long). Not much selection of food, especially lacking in savouries. Paid an exorbitant price to have food like that which is a pity as the place is so quaint and could’ve been an amazing experience if the food was just a tad better!

Peace and Plenty is a gorgeous B&B in the heart of Devonport. But they aren’t just a B&B, they also takes bookings if you are interested in travelling back in time to experience a classic Victorian High Tea. And it’s simply awesome!Taste: 5/5 The food, scones, the jam, the tea, all fantastic! If you decide to stay the night, request their special cereal, as funny as it sounds, it is to die for!Value: 3/5 A little expensive, but given the unique experience of being transported back in time, it’s worth a try!Decor/Ambience: 5/5 absolutely no doubt about it the most decorated themed B&B ever encounteredService: 5/5 Judy such a pleasant host, not to mention her little girls that help out around. And of course Cooper, the chillest dog you’ll ever meet!Overall: 4.5/5 The Peace and Plenty is an experience you must try. It is the perfect start to a hens party or a special ‘escape’ for the special woman in your life.
