Delightful afternoon was such a good deal loved tea other than brownie everything was excellent. I love deco and historical building. Service was amazing!
Really good food!! The fish is fresh, little lovely burgers, the taste is as good as their looking. The dressing make everything even better:) Also thanks for the senior band there.
Needs lots of work. We tried 3 tables all wobbly. Having been before I was looking forward to the croque monsieur as last time it was great. This time they serve ham and cheese on $1 loaf toast. When we asked they said this was normal and did not offer to amend the order. Needless to say we wont be returning
The $30 platter is absolutely amazing! Looking forward to going again. Main course ended up being disappointing because the platter set an expectation of large quantities. Still enjoyed the meal though and have recommended to a few work colleagues. I would go back just to buy another platter.The only downside is that everything is loaded with rosemary. A bit for seasoning is great but when your meal is loaded with it, you end up only tasting rosemary and not anything else.I will go back and eat here again despite this.
We were having a drink early evening and another table in the bar had a huge pot of mussels. Smelt so good we ordered a pot and were rewarded with an awesome feed for two, plenty of bread to make the most of the sauce and a bottle of local organic red.
We came to the reataurant to devour the seafood platter. We were seated in an empty cold room which i believe is the tea room. Nobody else was there but us. 40 minutes later our platter arrived and the waitress apologised for how long it took. The impression of the seafood platter looked inviting, however looks are decieving. The mussels were in a smoky sauce not chorizo butter, and the hair was still attached. The prawns were in a sauce with kumara…not the garlic prawns suggested. The smoked salmon was over powering as if put into a smoker. But worse off, the oysters were frozen and green. When we asked the waitress where the yellow fin tuna was, she came back and advised that there was none so we got 2 more oysters. The 2 frozen green ones. Absolutely not worth the $60 charged. Super dissapointing visiting Devenport. Had higher expectations
Not good. Half an hour wait for garlic bread, we ordered as bottle of ros for four people and were brought one glass of ros. Asked for plates for the garlic bread and two of them were dirty. Ordered beetroot and goats cheese salad with candied walnuts, walnuts were missing and when we asked for them we were brought raw pecans. Ordered crab and salmon pasta which had no crab in it at all. The fish and chips were old tasting, over cooked and clearly cooked in old oil. We paid for our wine and left. Would not recommend this place and won’t be coming back.
