Standard pub food, nothing fancy. The portion sizes are reasonable which is good if you need to soak up your beer. Good pub atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Lots of seating options inside and out.
We came mid week and tried the two for one special. Pretty standard pub fare , Fish (Snapper) and Chips as well as the Guinness pie . A nice warm fireplace . Reasonably priced and good size meal portions.
Was quite nice lunch and tasted nice. Had snapper risotto and chargrilled lamb salad. Friendly staff that kept checking how everything was 🙂
Unfortunatly the worst food we have had in Auckland since moving here in April – overpriced and not enjoyable.That being said it is a great location for a drink on a sunny day and the staff were really nice though 🙂
My girlfriend and I went there during the Queens Birthday for lunch. The place is nice and very warm. Waitress were polite and service was good. However the food was below average for the price they charged. I had the scallops and King prawns – oily, portions are small and Beef Eye Fillet – I asked for medium rare and the fillet was overcooked. Very disappointing.
Proper hearty pub food and actually feels like a UK pub, too. Great afternoons or evernings! Quiz nights are always a laugh, especially with the beers flowing!
I wasnt planned to go there but i dumped to my old colleague who were having beer, so i decided to eat burger for lunch. Burger was good and juicy but i felt staying hot inside otherwise my friend was telling me beer platter was good.
