The food can be quite good here except for today, 20 minute wait just to have a sandwich heated to take away then when I got back to work opened it to see it was not what I ordered. Have had salads and croissants in the past that have been lovely. Coffee is almost undrinkable.
This place is just down from my work and it’s great! Friendly and helpful staff, and there are plenty of options on menu and in cabinet. Only caveat is you’ll want to get in quick for cabinet food as it runs out pretty quickly but I guess that’s a testament to how good it is. They are never stingy on the sandwich/wrap fillings which is a huge bonus. Great for a sit down or grab and go
Fresh out of the amazing Creative Mornings event, we Huskies were so intrigued by the collaborative space of Lot 23 we decided to go for lunchtoo boasting an art gallery, film and photography studio, collaborative work spaces and a caf, this seems to be a great hub for everything. Lot 23 is tucked away inside a street inside a street (#street-ception), so it’s not a place you can easily stumble across but we can tell you it’s well worth the navigating. Haunted by devoted Brazil coffee fans, its lever expresso machine lends a steam-punk vibe that utterly destroyed our minds – we don’t care where, or how much, we want one! Their food, delicately plated, received contrasting views from the team one thing we DID agree on though: the manager really needs to crack a smile. PS: we grabbed the new ‘Feel Good’ ice pops on the way back and their lovely packaging design and photography really did themselves justice. Salted Caramel & Apple nuff said.Check out our individual comments here: husk.co.nz/lunches/lot-23-jan-2015
Lot 23 is the new work local, great little hidden place in dirty old Eden Trce .Matt the coffee guy makes a mean coffee! Food is great, crew are hard case and the PRICING has to be the cheapest around.
Great food and coffee! The coffee is not for the lighthearted though. It is a strong Brazilian brew and definitely gives you the morning kick you need! The food is amazing – the fresh doughnuts are awesome! Staff are also super friendly! A regular for my coffees, business meetings and more regularly than it should be, my breakfast!!
Lot 23 is a place that you may read about in ‘Viva’, then make the (conscious) effort to visit, before it’s everyone’s hang-out.Located in Minnie Street, Eden Terrace which happens to be where TVNZ ‘Step Dave’s’ (blue) house is situated! As you enter the space: walls are filled with the latest art curated by Natalie Tozer, concrete floor, wooden old-school chairs, complimented with a super-slick white interior that acts as a great canvas for everything art!The menu is delectable: ‘Ugly bagels’ topped with lashings of cream cheese, capers and fresh salmon, daily soup choice/s, croissant filled with Camembert, tomato and ham off the bone, ‘Baghdad eggs’ and coconut ice! Every mouthful is ‘gastronomy’ and flavoursome. I particularly love the ‘Brazilian coffee’ that stimulates the senses – like coffee should. I can’t get enough of Lot 23.
