good egg fried rice. they add ong choi which takes it to the next level. (tried this place 3 years ago so im not sure if they still the same) . i kept going back until i left ellerslie area (work)
Wow. It takes a really special place to be able to make Chinese food this bland and this tasteless. They must have really practiced. Ordered roast duck noodles and pork and prawn dumplings, honestly about the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I came back here after having a terrible experience with the previous owners to see if it and improved. It hasn’t. Please done ever go here. I wish I could put it below zero.
Ordered the fried rice, chicken chow mein and the dumplings. The fried rice and dumplings were good, but the chow mein was more liked a fried noodle dish. Overall pretty good.
Both stars are for the dumplings only. They were soft, juicy and great value for money. Really really nice. However, my sliced duck fried rice was terrible. There was no sliced duck, only duck skin and 5mins into my meal there was something that released this burnt plastic taste. I had to spit it out and couldnt eat it anymore. Not at all worth $14.50. I would return for the dumplings though.
Authentic, good quality, and tasty Cantonese food served here. Good value and proportions – makes it the perfect cheap eats restaurants to go to if you live around the area. I go there regularly and every dish has been yummy. The restaurant itself is small but clean compared to other small Chinese restaurants. Highly recommended.
Biggest hidden gem in Ellerslie. A big fan of simple Asian food and this did not disappoint, ordered the combination meats on rice and pork&chive dumplings. Food came out very fast and was very tasty. 100% recommend
Some of the best dumpling to price ratio in Auckland and the flavours don’t let you down. If you love the dumplings on Dominion Road, give this place a try!
