This place was packed with people. There was only one chef in the kitchen and was definitely running behind schedule. We had French toast and big breakfast. They were cooked to expected standard but I thought waiting more than 45 minutes for a very standard and simple food was a little long. I think they need to employ at least another chef.

Opens super early. Average coffee average food but fuels you up with the good portion size.Food 6.5/10 Service 7/10 Ambience 7/10Creamy Mushroom 6/10Not creamy at all? Only tasted sourness. Ordered it w/sourdough but got grain toast. Portion was big though, so its good as a quick breakfast.French Toast 6/10Homemade French toast

Open Table certainly is a hidden gem. Right in the residential hub of Ellerslie, it is one of my new fave spots. I have visited a handful of times (practically eating my way through the menu) and so far, Im impressed. The price range couldnt be more reasonable considering the size, with specials listed on their blackboard. The area is open with benches outside, a great stop for a summer brunch. The staff are always lovely, and the food is served in a timely manner. I normally order sweet, having tried the waffles, French toast and recently the vegan pancakes all being a hit – the corn fritters listed on the board are also a must try.
