Although its part of the motel, it has some nice dishes. Specializing in Italian dishes, we came here for lunch and ordered Chilli Scallops Risotto, Chicken Fettuccine, Pepperoni Pizza. From the cabinet we got Beef Sausage Roll, Raisin & Nut loaf.Chilli Scallops Risotto – In terms of taste and texture, its quite different to all the other Italian risottos Ive had because of its spiciness and sourness. The texture of the rice is cooked nicely but the dish should have a little more creaminess. The spicy and sour tasting works weirdly well together and quite yummy, but it doesnt work as well as a creamy mushroom with a tiny bit of milky taste, and sweet taste from sweet potatoes. However the dish is crazily cheap as its $25 with 4 big scallops thats literally the size of a kids palm. I reckon this dish is more suitable for dinner than lunch because not many people eat spicy food for their first meal.Chicken Fettuccine – a common Italian dish. Its tasty and the texture of the pasta is perfect. The creaminess is just right as its not thick or thin; the different herbs and spices along with the mushrooms lifts up the creamy flavor of the dish nicely. And the sauce is seasoned nicely.Pepperoni Pizza – more suited for large parties or kids as the size of the pizza is just right and reflects pretty well on its price. The crust is pretty soft and the cheese sticks pretty well. Theres no flaw for its taste and texture in this dish. Beef Sausage Roll – apparently the fillings change and todays flavor is beef. The beef is minced and baked nicely to an actual sausage roll texture. The pastry is very crusty and the size is really big. However, the strong cumin smell and flavored a bit too much.Raisin & Nut Loaf – this is baked deliciously. The sweetness isnt too strong and it satisfies my appetite perfectly. The butter provides a thin creaminess on top. I had this as a starter and I shouldve had another one for dessert. If youre looking for a snack, I strongly recommend this. The service was exceptional as the waitress was very lively and knowledgeable, and a very skilled barista too. No comment for ambience because its going to go under renovation but right now its nothing special. The price is also very reasonable as well as the bill came to around $90. Should add some sweet dishes to the menu too. Cant wait for my next time after renovation! Taste – 8/10Size – 8/10Price – 8/10Service – 10/10Ambience – 7/10
It was very average. Let be very clear…This is NOT an Italian restaurant. A bit overpriced too. Was underwhelmed by the chicken breast salad. Not much to it really…was surprised about what was actually served after paying over $20 for a salad! I have had and even made better pizza than this. If you are looking for authentic Italian, this is not your stop. I have to give them credit for a nice breakfast the next morning. Eggs Benedict.
