This was a great chance find. We were staying at Newmarket Motel just up the road and needed somewhere for breakfast. This definitely fitted the bill. We had breakfast both mornings here. We were a group of eight and they had no problem with seating us and no delay in the food. Two of us had cabinet food and the rest ordered off the menu. Everything was really good and the coffee was great Staff were really friendly – to the extent of moving tables around for us so we could sit together. Really happy with everything here.
Absolutely terrible experience, ordered a flat white that burned my tongue off! Asked the barista to give me some cold milk to cool it down but the man started arguing with me about the normal temperatures of milk. I have been a barista for many years, that milk was definitely not under 70 degrees! The man was very rude and defensive, I asked him to feel it and he said if I wanted a normal temperature milk I would need to ask for it! He stood in front of me defending his terrible cup of coffee. Later it was remade and although temperature is still not right, atleast it didnt burn my tongue off. The man was just so rude I have never met anyone so rude like him, it really ruined my day.
Whilst visiting the area stumbled upon this pleasant cafe. Busy Saturday morning vibe. Great coffee, quick service and the date and orange scone to die for
Ive been visiting this place for years and it has some of the best coffee Ive ever tasted. I dont come as often now as Ive moved farther away, but when I do visit, the awesome staff and owners remember not only my name, but my coffee order. Its things like that which make a place special. Ive tried most things in the menu over the years but special mention goes to the phenomenal pancakes and the chicken & artichoke toastie. The decor hasnt changed since Ive been coming, and aside from some of the dishes, its not terribly instagrammable (if thats your motivation) but I love this place and its people. Even the kitchen staff (who have been with the company for years) often call out a cheery goodbye if they notice you leaving. I love it!
Friendly staff, quick service. Ordered 3 takeaway coffees and an assortment of mini cakes and pastries.Coffee was good, assortment of cakes and pastries (passion cake, lemon dream, brownie, almond croissant, carrot cake) very average. The nicest (and freshest) was the mini carrot cake. See picture….3 small coffees and 8 small cakes…$70!!I did have a big breakfast here about 4 years ago…again average.
Have any of you foodies notice a little cafe on the corner of busy Manukau/Owens roads, selling cafe snacks. You may have driven/walk past them or waited at the busy intersection outside untold times and not notice them there, unless yer a local like me/us. Nicely made coffee brewed there too.
Espresso is always busy and a great place for meeting client. Their breakfast bruchetta and pancake are absolutely tasty however coffee is pretty average (long black especially). But staff are friendly and nice. Located beginning of Manukau Road in Epsom.
