Tried out the fruit tart today. The filling was quite creamy and delicious but the tart base wasn’t as crumbly as I thought it would be. Peach mousse was nice but was an interesting match with chocolate mousse as a base.
What a fabulous place Eves is. So many childhood memories. We bought beautiful custard and cream slices. Each was individually wrapped and all were placed in a box for transport. The service was first class and as youd expect, the food quality, attention to detail and taste were fabulous. We love visiting eves. Weve been here many times over the years and will enjoy making this part of our tradition. Well done Eves Pantry.
Sadly the only bakery in this area, although they do have a large variety of tasty cakes and treats, they are definitely lacking on the savouries and sandwiches part, which are overpriced and not very good quality. Staff are not the friendliest or welcoming bunch and always look miserable.
We came into this bakery to get a few desserts. They seemed quite overpriced for what we got. The slices and cookie were quite small and a little dry.
The original Eves Pantry, it has certainly changed over the years and fallen a bit behind some of the new bakeries such as Bluebells, but you can still find some yummy food here. They have a good range of pies, although you need to get in early to get one from the warmer on weekends. Their vanilla slice & Black Forest cake are mostly good, although sometimes you get the odd bit of day old cake which is not as fresh.
Been coming to this bakery and cafe since my St Cuths school days. The chicken top potato pie is my fave as a savory. If you want to try a truly unique dessert I recommend the orange delight .
My Mum dealt with the staff and said everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. She ordered this beautiful Banana cake with Chocolate icing on Wednesday and they had it ready for her to collect for our party Saturday morning. Thank you Eves Pantry
