BEST AKL DIMSUM. Loving that their chef are HK chefs, it really bring the authentic taste experience here.Loving every dishes from them, its so tasty, soy sauce would never be needed. Absolutely love their tauhuay (bean curd) the most
I would say this is the BEST yum cha place in Auckland – it shouldve made it in that Urban List article last year Dim sum, being one of my top comfort food types, rarely ever lets me down. The food here is really great. I dont know what else to say about it. I find that Ill eat whatever to be honest. If anything, I just enjoy the comfort and familiarity that dining here brings me. Its a decently nice place to dine at if you arent a complete banana like me :(( Wait time is notoriously long. It has been for years now, they still havent been able to accomodate to the large crowds especially on weekends. If it werent for that I wouldve given them a full 5 stars. Im actually not too sure whether or not making a booking will guarantee you a table?? Be prepared to wait a while, but its worth it!!
First time here on a Monday and we do not need to wait for a table. the food was not bad! I personally love their Siew mai so much and the yam dessert wrap with almond on top!! Yam dessert was so good, not many yumchar restaurant in Auckland serve this dessert! Make sure u try it out! Beef ball was legit too, better than the other places. However, the pork ribs was kinda bland, not salty enough. The filling inside the yam dumpling was below average .. grand harbour and sunword serve better yam dumpling aka ! some foods were also not hot enjoying. The cashier at the reception was abrupt … other staffs were pretty polite though
Good food. The wait can be a little long which can turn people off instantly. The service is below average with more than half the staff not able to communicate in English.Definitely a place I’d come back to however as it does have a good vibe in a good location.
Ive been wanting to come here and finally i had sunday lunch in here. We were lucky that we came in early coz like after an hour the place was packed with hungry people! They have a lot of selection of foods. Though the disadvantage is that it took a little longer for the food trolley to come to other tables.
Grandpark always quiet busy, but foods are better than other yumcha place in Auckland central. I like their mango and durian pancake which used fresh ingredients.
Go to place for yumcha, price is average similar to most places (may be a little steeper) but the quality of the foods is up there and their range of foods is so vast! All the classics are served really well, these include chicken feet, pork spare ribs, beef ribs, and their range of various buns! They are also the only place that does durian dessert wraps with cream and theyre really delish! However Ive noticed theyve decreased the amount of filling and theres noticeably less durian in them which is a huge disappointment! Ive also noticed theyve stopped serving taro with the pork spare ribs which is a bit of a bummer. Cons: always busy so theres a bit of a wait. Sometimes you might need to share a table which may not be ideal. Noisy environment due to the business. (But the food is worth!)
