Chirag and his team served us one of our best dinners in Auckland at Status. We chanced upon this little gem when I ran a random search for manchurian and paneer chilly in Auckland. The Indian in me was craving for good old street food from back home and Status with it’s extensive menu – from North Indian Chaat to South Indian mains and all indo-chinese dishes in between, was a dream come true. We walked into a lavish and very tastefully decorated eatery, probably one of the largest in Auckland, and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Their service was prompt, their knowledge about these dishes on point, quantities sumptuous and each dish was more amazing than the previous one. We absolutely LOVED the dry manchurian, dahi batata puri, bhelpuri and paneer chilly. The sambhar served with the dosas was quite authentic. Despite the amount of food we stuffed into, the bill amount was a pleasant surprise. Dinner at Status made our day. I truly hope you guys visit it and love it as much as we did! ❤️

Visited at lunchtime, something different from the usual Indian restaurant. The paneer kabab sizzler had rice, fries, vegetables and paneer, a tasty dish. The bombaiyaa pettie dish had texture and flavour. I wasn’t too sure what I was eating to be honest but it tasted good. I would definitely come back and try the other dishes. Thank you Status.
Its a good place for the people who are vegetarians which draws me to this place. They have an amazing menu, which provides options for everyone. Service is quite average, but worth the money.
