We are always regulars at tanto, the head chef/ owner knows us so he always strikes conversation with us. The food is always consistently great and delicious, the kitchen is clean and the food comes out very quickly we always love coming here.
4/5 can really taste the goodness of the ingredients, food is served fresh, reasonably priced. Amazing dish is not the case, maybe fine dining standards which is good in Auckland. +Best Sapporo tap beers.
Had their Tanto Gozen dinner set. Entree are really good (sashimi, sushi, crumbed prawns, tuna tatare), main is average (had salmon teriyaki). Their special dessert is yummy as well. Its pannacotta with mochi, jelly, vanilla icecream and brown sugar syrup . we were so full and need to take away some food home 🙂
