Decent pies even when you order them in the middle of the afternoon/evening – I had low expectations for their pies, I expected hard, crusty and lukewarm with a bad pastry to meat ratio. I was pleasantly surprised with how hot the pie was, I had the mince and cheese pie and the pastry was fluffy and light – it did have that oily taste that all pies have but the meat portion was decent to the ratio of cheese. It wasn’t gluey in texture, the mince and cheese had a decent amount of move in it and actually seeped through the pastry top of the pie into the bag! Would recommend this as a good place to stop by for a quick snack if you’re coming back into Auckland~ Sarah Reynolds #challenge
