Came here last weekend, wont be back, bad time management, looks like a lot is happening in kitchen but not much coming out…waited 1/2 hour for two mince on toasts and one BLAT…poached egg on one of the minces was cold, couldnt finish my blat cause of how much sauce and mayo they chucked on, customers that came in 25 mins after us got their meal same time as us, girl at the counter told them to order a blat and she would make it for them!! Staff would keep looking at us but never tried to check up, had to remind them about my iced coffee even tho other customers were getting their orders. Pretty disappointing actually and i still had to go buy something else to eat too cause i wasnt satisfied…i used to work in a cafe so know how hard it can be but this seemed to be at one of their quiet times so would hate to see when its busy.
Absolutely love this cafe! It’s the only place in Waiuku I will go to get my morning coffee. The baristas are amazing and all the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, I’ve been going for 5 years and I couldn’t recommend this place enough!
We had a late lunch (2pm) at Cafe Alba today after exploring the lovely Waiuku area. Our food was delicious. We had a lamb and mushroom burger and a chicken and mushroom wrap. Both were excellent. The wrap was heated properly, so often you get food that is not heated all the way through. The coffee and carrot cake we had for dessert was also great. A lovely little cafe.
Came here a couple of months ago with 6 people, we all ordered different things and not one of us was disappointed! Fantastic food and coffee
Lovely little cafe, great food and coffee, nice friendly staff. The only off putting thing is the lady owner who needs to be a bit more customer friendly instead of treating her customers as if they are an inconvenience. A friendly smile goes a long way.
My wife & I went for breakfast on Sunday – what a poor experience they must have changed their coffee supplier as the Batista was the same but the coffee was terrible and the food over priced and lacking any real taste – will not go back again.
I cannot speak highly enough of Cafe Alba. They have the best coffee in town – HANDS DOWN! The Barista is superb, the staff are naturally welcoming, the food is fantastic – and the freshly made muffins and scones are to die for! Who wouldn’t love freshly roasted coffee and a Raspberry and White Choc muffin?? We drive in from out of town for their breakfast on the weekend. They are worth the travel. Has to be a 5-star rating..:)
