Clevedon should be a lovely little town to visit until you go for lunch at the hotel clevedon. Its like going back in time to the days of shocking service in a New Zealand pub. The ice cold face of the bar girl should have warned us to beware her foul mood and treatment of us was a shocker. She made us feel like idiots by insisting the burger menu was displayed at the bar it was not. And throwing the pizza on our table with no interaction or even a serviette was just bad form. You should not work in the service industry young lady. For a good time in clevedon. Dont go to the hotel clevedon.

Myself and five other friends had dinner here last friday night. The food was ok room for improvement compared to other places we have eaten and prefer the last time we ate there several years ago. Portions were huge, pie and garlic bread not a good combination. The fettucine was nice but not the cheap smoked chicken that was with it,i asked for no bacon didnt say on menu chicken aswell would of liked to have known so i could change my order. The waitress was nice but not the job for her, when we needed her as order was missing items she was nowhere to be found so i got what was needed myself. Wont be in a rush to go back.
We came here for a farewell dinner for my daughter and other than a lunch earlier in the month we have not dined here for quite some time having heard indifferent comments about the food. However the new chef did us proud and although the meals were basic, they were very well cooked and well presented. 3 of us had pizzas and they were without a doubt the best we have ever had. My daughter had 2 entrees, calamari and muscle fritters and both were large portions and cooked to perfection. Whilst the chef is still finding her feet and the food is not cordon bleu, it is well presented, delicious and affordable.
We came here for dinner we selected this place as my partner wanted some oysters only to find out when we ordered that there was none, it would be a good idea to put a note on their website to let people know that they don’t have something on the menu as quite a few people when we were there asked for the oysters as well. The service was the highlight for sure, the food was i think okay but nothing that blew us away, and the prices were a bit high for what you got.
We came here for a nice weekend pub lunch and were not disappointed. Service is EXCELLENT. Food was great, good old fashioned affordable tasty food. The day we were there they had live music & there was quite a crowd enjoying this! The pub itself doesn’t look that impressive from the outside and is a bit of a rabbit warren to get into – walking through a TAB section to the bar. We sat outside and feel this is definitely the best spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon! Highly recommend. The restaurant next door was not open the day we went & am not sure if/when this is open.
