1st time visitor arrived there with my girlfriend to celebrate a anniversary. We arrived around 6pm on 3rd October. On arrival I was not greeted by bar staff, I asked if the kitchen was open for meals? I received a disinterested response. I was given two menus and a table number. I was not shown to the eating area.Poor service from uninterested staff. Never got to taste the food as we walked out . Will not be returning.
Being a local we wanted to support it. Was there 6 months ago. Meals missed then. Was excited to see if it had improved …Waited 45 mins for Deep fried sea food basket & pizzas for the kids. So disappointed we wont be back again

The Village used to be my favourite place to go on a Saturday with my family but recentlythe standards have really dropped especially with the food and service 🙁 I’m not sure what’s happened but I hope they get it together soon. Not too many places in Franklin to get a good pub meal. We drive the extra 10 mins to Puke now.
A busy country bar & restaurant, The Village is a great destination after a drive in the Country. There is a pub/bar area & a dining area with a fire as well.We ordered the snapper & chips & the small margarita pizza with fries & salad. The menu has something for everyone from salads to pork belly & more. The meals were nice & reasonably priced. Drinks menu also has a range of options. Service was good.
Voted in the top 5 gastro bars in Auckland definatly worth a visit
Come here for dinner and drinks often and have always been satisfied with my meal. Sometimes there has been a wait on food but very rare and only at extremely busy times.Have eaten the Scotch Fillet numerous times- always cooked to perfection and the sauce is super yummy!Pizza’s are a nice option if you don’t want anything too fancy- the bite size is the perfect gap filler and comes with fries as well. Can take away if you want too.The Pork Belly is always a hit with me- never dry and the crackling is super crunchy- would definitely rate is as one of the best I’ve tried! The dessert menu isn’t anything to write home about. You get your sweet fix in the end but not a huge selection to choose from.
