Came in for a coffee here and when we first sat down no one came upto us so we just seated ourselves. The table we sat at had an empty glass of beer there and no one cleared it away the entire time we were there. A fly ended up flying into the glass at one point which was just disgusting. I had a peppermint tea and it was good – you can’t go wrong with peppermint tea. My Mum had a latte and my sister had a ginger lemon tea and the drinks were all fine. It was more the service & atmosphere that were disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend.

Coffee was amazing, as always. Service could improve a bit though. I asked for a menu and wasnt given onestaff said whatever was laid out in front of me was pretty much it. Okay. I just ordered iced latte and iced americano (pretty basic) so as not to trouble her too much

The first time I went there was to try the Foiyo doughnuts that everyone posts on there instagram and you inject the filling into the doughnut. I mean it’s super fun injecting the filling into the doughnut but the doughnut itself is so dry. The second time I went with my parents for lunch and was the worst experience i’ve had at a cafe before, the staff were running around everywhere and seemed super unorganised, I ordered the rumbledthumps and it was disgusting I had one spoon full and couldn’t stomach anymore, on the menu it says ‘middle bacon braised in cider’ I got completely cat-fished because it came and it was like puled pork…YUCK, we ended up sending my meal back because it was so disgusting, don’t even take the time to go here, there are much nicer places in Ponsonby for sure x
Came here on a busy Saturday. Got the peanut pancakes which was Divine. When it was first put In front of me at the table I was a little annoyed that it was only 1 but I actually struggled to finish it cause it was sooo much. It was light and fluffy and probably the best pancake Ive ever had!!! It came with this really creamy vanilla bean ice cream and a coconut infused sauce which I couldnt get enough of. Also got a mango smoothie. That was alright. Nothing I would write home about. Most staff were friendly but there was one that was a bit rude…. she dropped water all over while she was cleaning the table which then went down our legs etc and then when we asked if she needed any help she just wanted to know if the seat was wet…… the hek!
