Lamb kebab that I had tonight was great. Ingredients were really fresh and seasoned well. Services was very friendly and it took less than 5 minutes for my order to arrive. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I’m not going to give this place a 1 star rating (despite having an awful experience last night). The purpose of this comment is to provide some constructive feedback. Usually this restaurant is my go-to authentic Persian/Turkish kebab place however last night the food I received was nothing short of sub-par. The kebab was burnt, rice was cold and salad was sloppy. Im hoping that this will provide some insight so that amendments can be made to bring back the great kebab I once enjoyed. Please consider training your staff to have some consistency in the food standard and portions.

The only reason I didnt give it 5 is that on the chicken they really needed to use saffron and more citrus and rice was very dry and needed some butter or something to make it less dry. Overall good dish though
We ordered the Soltani Chicken Kebab. I love Persian food, especially kebab koobideh.The guy serving us asked me where I was from, I said Im Kiwi….where are you from? He was from Bangladesh.There was a bit of a wait for the food.The Soltani Chicken kebab was good. It was juicy but it was missing saffron and the rice was dry. It needed butter in the rice with saffron….as the Persians do.Overall, very happy with my kebab.
I had a lovely experience here today, if you’re looking for a delicious meal + an ethnic ambiance then the Ponsonby food court is the place to go. I’m pretty sure the owner served me, he was extremely lovely and was very attentive in making sure I had all my taste buds catered for! I would definitely pop back here for a delish quick meal!
I loved their food very good customer experience they are very friendly. Their food is clean and just so good. They serve big portion you’ll always end up taking some home depending on what you bought. I loved it so much would defiantly go there again. I hope you guys dont close two middle Eastern takeaways have closed up in New lynn I would love to go there and eat whenever I can. I would definitely recommend your food to all my friends.
Got to be my fav place for kebabs in Ponsonby. The meat is so fresh and tender, not processed like other kebab shops. Fresh salads and yummy hummus to go with it. Gotta love it!
