The food is quite nice for its price actually.Food quality 3/5Portion of food 4/5Environment 2/5However, I do recommend the pumpkin pie, wonton, Shanghai xiaolongbao (little buns). Good for a cheap Shanghai style meal.

Could do with a few more selections. Missing one of the famous Shanghai dish that my family really likes. The taste of the food are not too bad. The size of the dishes howevere are not very big.

We waited 45 minutes for food to be served. By then my son already lost interest in eating (he was demanding for food when we came).Yang chow fried rice contained luncheon meat instead of chorizo. Shanghai noodles was too salty and lacked meat. West Lake soup had so much coriander. Their chili sauce container at their condiments station had nothing in it.Staff were okay, but it would be nicer if more of them could speak English. This is probably why the place had no other diners but Chinese except for my family.

My go-to Shanghainese place for my family, we love the taste of home town. Qian mentang do the best sheng jian and xiao long bao, honestly delicious and their rice cake is also a house favourite. I tried the shao mai this time too and was very pleasantly surprised about how yummy and generous the servings are. As per usual, we end the meal with pumpkin pie/bing. The waitress is super friendly, not everyone will nod to the service here but I have never had a bad experience. Always craving to come back!
