Their tiger skin buns are popular and I can see why. The owners are very welcoming and their prices are reasonable. The bakery has been around for years and I would recommend it to anyone in the area.
If you are judging this bakery on it’s Hong Kong style items it is excellent. I like the sausage buns especially. The pies are pretty average, for me the only one worth eating is the curried mince. The filled rolls are OK and the other sweets and quiches are reasonable and as good as any of the asian bakeries close by
Steak n cheese pies taste really weird , like they have some weird Asian spices that don’t work well. Cream donuts were ok but wouldn’t buy from there again.
Very good Hong Kong style bakery. Not ordinary kiwi style bakery food but they still do sandwiches pies and cream donuts. If you want to try hong kong style bakery this is a must go
Go to place for Saturday morning on the move breaky or a quick snack. Enjoy the bacon and egg and the sausage rolls. On the down side they don’t make enough of them and they get sold out very quickly !
Indeed the baked goods look ‘fancy’ but they don’t taste thaaat great. The food is overpriced for what you get (portion and taste wise). I do applaud their creativity and attention to detail regarding decorative work on the sweet rolls and cakes
Family run bakery here in botany they make everything here from scratch..standard bakery items … bread,cakes,pies..etc… the curve ball here are their range of Chinese style breads.. savoury and sweet types..recommend the bbq pork& tuna buns here also the egg tarts
