I used to love coming here but unfortunately ownership has changed and with this came a drop in quality of food. Kids taking orders and not listening doesn’t help either.How hard is it to deep fry some chips and fish and not make a mess of it?Wont be coming back sadly.
Mixed reviews on this place since the new ownership but the fish and chips were delicious the seadog my partner loved and fish was yummy and chips really good I was not that impressed with the previous owners chips. I will say that the spring rolls were not ver nice though which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5 but the customer service was great and the place runs pretty smoothly we live in Dannermora and have to travel to find a decent chip shop so thats saying something.
Previous owner (Ken) started this tiny fish n chips shop and it was perfect. The customer service, the food.. Everything about this place was just perfect. Unfortunately he decided to sell the place to incompetent people. The customer service turned out to be just like every other cheap Chinese take away, and the food is disgusting. I tried on multiple occasions to try with them, and every time turned out to be worse than the time before. I am writing this review from bed as result of being food poisoned from this place. Ordered fish burger and half an hour later developed body ache and the rest is not the right forum to discuss.
After reading all the negative feedback about the new owners, I decided to give this place a try. Fortunately, I was more than pleasantly surprised since their fish was in my opinion the best Ive ever had, even better than the previous owners. The batter was incredibly crisp, not at all greasy, perfectly seasoned, all coating the juicy tender fish perfectly without the fish and batter separating as with some other places. All served with above average fries from a polite and friendly kid hanging out with his brothers and sisters in the family business, I highly recommend others to give the new owners a chance and not be turned off by other less than stellar reviews. 🙂
The worst, new owners, couldnt even boil water let alone make decent fish and chips!I give it 6 months and theyll be gone.Never going near it again! -100!
We ordered snapper, crab sticks and chips to go and eat asst the beach… the snapper was really beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. We will recommend this place any day. Thank you.
We mostly go here for fish and chips. In the beginning when this place was new we often got some free extra’s like a few loempia’sand the kids even got once a donut. Now this doesn’t happen anymore and that’s a pity since you are kind of expecting itas it happened every time. Also the portions of chips seem to become a bit smaller then they used to be. Anyway, the food is good and the owners are very kind.
