Love this place!Started going here since last year when our friend took us there. The food is amazing, they serve Chinese x Korean fusion food which are quite unique in my opinion (I’m Kiwi Chinese). Our favourite dish is their fried chicken which has this very special tangy sauce with a bit of spice to it. But everything else that we’ve ordered before has been fantastic and very tasty, so we already know by now that anything on the menu won’t disappoint. The service is super friendly, always served with a smile. The owner remembered us already the second time we showed up (which was only a few days since our first visit!) and just makes the dining experience that much better. The restaurant itself isn’t massive or anything, there’s around 12 tables and we don’t always make reservations since we make last minute decisions, but haven’t had any problem getting a table. Everything at Xingkai is clean and the atmosphere combined with the service and food makes it feel very welcoming and home like (weird, but it doesn’t feel like a restaurant to me.)Overall, I highly recommend this place, have taken a number of family and friends here and they all loved the food and the experience and most of them have dined there again.

The food is quite refreshing for someone like us who do not eat Korean food often. Guess may be it is because their menu is not too Korean. So they do not have my favourite bibimbap in hot stone. We ordered the set meal for two which was quite nice. The jiajiang noodle is different from the Taiwanese style that we are familiar with but we enjoyed it nevertheless. The seafood noodle was tasty without being overly spicy. Fried chicken was nice and crispy too. I love that the flavour of the dishes are not overpowering. Portion was just nice though may be considered a bit more pricy compared to other average Chinese eatery. But we love it and will certainly come back to try other dishes.
