About
Once a thriving suburb, Grafton has been in much need of a some serious loving, and with the arrival of a luring new culinary outpost on Park Road, we're sure it's set to have the renaissance it deserves. Opposite the hospital and nestled amongst the Grafton shops is Ceremony - a new community focused caf that boasts a convivial atmosphere thanks to the two gents at the helm, music guru Connor Nestor and his best mate and coffee connoisseur Charles Williams. The stylish interior is a result of a slick collaboration of the duo's talented friends - the fit-out by Nick Sayes at Daniel Marshall Architects, the lighting installation designed by Angus Muir, and the hand blown glass a product of Luke Jacomb - making this caf very much a family affair. Whilst soaking up the ambiance and joyful company is enough to harp on about, there's no doubt the Flight Coffee on offer will satisfy your daily caffeine craving, the true hero however, lies in the menu of delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches oozing with fresh and flavoursome ingredients. Imagine two custom brioche buns, freshly baked each morning from Il Forno, encasing a spectacular marriage of Mexican slow cooked pulled pork, smoky bbq sauce, green apple slaw, over easy egg, and Sriracha mayo or a glorious combination of smoked bacon, soft fried egg, cheddar, caramelised onion jam and chipotle ketchup. And take our word for it, you'll want to devour each of the four options available. And if that's not enough to entice you, it's safe to say that something will, from the pistachio butter on brioche toast, fresh bircher muesli and soul-warming seasonal soup. Perfect for your morning pit stop en route to work, or a quick brunch with a friend, this winning combination is sure to redeem the great qualities that this city fringe area possesses.
