I have little experience with Shanghai cuisine, but was invited along. We had a range of dishes, generally OK. The poached whole chicken was nicely cooked, as were the fried pork spare ribs and the steamed blue cod. The dishes were a little on the sweet side, which I didn’t really mind, but most of the dishes could have done with a little more salt. Chinese restaurants are generally not good at pacing of dishes, and oddly the complimentary dessert arrived some time before we finished out main food. I was one of the more unusual desserts I’ve had, fungus in sugar water, it was quite tasteless. Looking around at other tables there were some nice looking plates, but I’m not so sure I’ll be rushing back for more
