I have been a sporadic customer of Epolito’s for almost 10 years. I would love to eat there more often, it’s just they’ve never been in my neighborhood.The only way to explain why you should come here is the extremely obvious one – it’s the best pizza in the city and surely the entire country. A superb base and crust. Perfect tomato sauce. Delicious cheese. The toppings are all heartily perfect without being excessive. A half and half between Pepperoni and Home-made fennel sausage is my go to, but I’d eat this stuff from a dumpster with nothing but the tomato sauce left on top. Hell it’s probably the best in Australasia and the Pacific. Service has always been notably friendly and inviting. If you get butthurt because your pizza doesn’t arrive instantly – you’re an idiot and don’t deserve food this good. Making pizza the right way takes time.I’m just here to boost the ridiculous 3.7 start rating and negate the idiotic reviews which sound like straight up baloney to me, given I’ve been eating this stuff on and off for almost 10 years.
Best pizza around. Yes it might take slightly longer than other pizza places but its worth the wait. We always order Godfather and are never disappointed!
A top pizza spot in Auckland. My favourite is an extra large cheese pizza – delicious tomato sauce on top of a base thats always cooked well – a simple classic done perfectly.
Ah yummy pizzas. We ordered godfather and loved it. We especially enjoyed the meatballs and the next time we are here we might order the classic meatball pizza. Friendly staff. Lovely little place.
These guys serve a good size classic New York style pizza. We ordered by phone and were advised a 30 minute wait plus they don’t take credit cards. We arrived just before that and the service was friendly. We were advised again about no credit cards and told there was a short wait until they were ready. I was offered a drink during this time which was a smart service to offer.Pizzas were ready on time as mentioned and very nice to eat. Overall nice service, great pizzas, friendly staff but a little expensive yet OK at the frequency I’d eat them.
Worst pizza ordering experience ever. Really rude staff. Got told they were too busy to take my order and to call back later. definitely the attitude of a NY pizza place…better off going to Sal’s!
I have tried their pizza twice in the last month. First time was the lemon and artichoke with extra garlic, the second time was the three cheese with extra sausage and garlic.The pizza’s are huge and the crust is super nice. My favourite of the two was the artichoke and lemon – they actually use whole slices of lemon and it’s such a nice flavour. The three cheese with the extra sausage and garlic was tasty too The sausage is very flavoursome with a hint of spice, my only criticism I have is that I think this pizza would be 10 times better with a more punchier cheese. Not as punchy as gorgonzola or blue but maybe feta to give it that hint of salt. It’s not bad as it is but pizza cheese and ricotta are both quite bland cheeses. I will definitely order from here again and look forward to trying their other flavours!
