One of Auckland hidden gems ! The food just looks like a piece of art. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and good for your health. The omelette with broccoli and kale was awesome! They all went together very well. Definitely recommend to others and come back again !

A very nice little cafe, the coffee is one of the best i ever had, my wife loved the green smoothie so much, the big breakie was full of plate with the crsipy bacon and really flavoured beetroot, my wife had the salmon, which was well cooked and along with a great healthy salad. Have a happy lunch today,enjoy the tasty and healthy food cooked by Jason Li . The food was very impress me, all the ingredients are freshly not the pre cooked one, got a passion for the food I can see. And the coffee just taste delicate and mild without any astringency, it was really good.
Have the pleasure of reviewing this lovely new cafe in Grey Lynn. Love their concept of keeping it simple but memorable! Unpretentious flavoursome and healthy food (organic & vegan friendly) as well as strong and no nonsense coffee, hence the name..Shots n Broc.I ordered the zesty chicken risotto, mocha and their signature hot dark choc (Made by the the award winning Urban Brands. Want to try the pink beetroot latte next time!)Self taught chef and owner Jason should be very proud of his food! Made to order each time, he cooks eaxh ingredient separately before beautifully plating them to tease both the visual and gastro palette! You can taste each of the healthy ingredients, from the Al dente beans and rissotto to the lightly grilled tender free range chicken pieces, every mouthful was an enjoyable journey of paying homage to simple healthy meals cooked to perfection! Even all the herbs are from Jason’s own garden!The coffee was next. I am very FUSSY with my coffee! Jason’s lovely wife, Susan the barista did not fail to impress! From its precise 70C warmth to the strong aromatic punchy flavour (Toasted Espresso beans, winner of international coffee bean award two years in a row), Heavenly!I could have been tempted to try some of the homemade desserts (the GF brownie was calling my name I swear) but decided to leave that for the next time I come back and I will definitely be back! If they keep going like this, won’t be long before they make the Urban List and Metro Top 50 cafe!Top Secret Tip: Get the freshly squeezed juice of apple, orange, pineapple, carrot, cucumber, ginger and vitamin C shot! So YUM and best start to the day and keeping the cold bugs away!
Currently the best coffee in Grey Lynn (toasted espresso). Outdoor and indoor spots and a decent range of cabinet food. Perfect spot to pick up a t/a flattie on the walk to ponsonby
These guys do seriously good food. Jason has some real skills in the kitchen and turns out plates of absolute deliciousness! My crispy skinned salmon was perfectly cooked and scrummy; the coffee is excellent; the decor is super cute and Susan is a lovely hostess behind the counter! Well worth a visit.
