The menu here is extremley small, there’s about 5 meals to choose from – all bacon and egg type dishes. Nothing for those who are health concious. Although it is extremely cheap. I ordered the plain eggs benedict, the hollandaise was way too buttery and was really sour aswell which wasn’t very nice, and the poached eggs were undercooked as they were coated in a layer of slime! The coffee is quite watery and took about 20 minutes to come even though at the time we were the only people in the cafe. The atmosphere is quite shabby. The tables around us were covered in empty dishes. The staff were very friendly although we won’t be returning.
Visited for Sunday brunch and ordered off the All day breakfast menu. Eggs Benedict for $12.50 was great value for money. Finally somewhere that doesn’t rip you off, much appreciated. The big breakfast for $16.50 also much cheaper than most places and dad was really happy with quality. The venue was full as there appeared to be a group in which we didn’t realise until we had ordered and tried to find a seat, the staff were lovely and told us to grab on of the reserved spots – that hey weren’t going to chuck us out. Thanks for making us feel welcome .This will definitely be my brunch destination again, a great little gem.
For that early morning fix before heading out on the boat or whether you looking to have a few drinks with your mates then this is the place for you.
Went here for a meal with my family. The young staff tried their best but that is really where it ended. The owners were disinterested, drunk, offensive and often shouting at their employees. It was really uncomfortable at times. I guess there must be limited job opportunities for younger people in Gulf Harbour since if there was an alternative, then these guys would struggle to get anybody to work for them.It is dirty, the toilets are unhygienic and the food is average.
We are vegetarians and we ordered all-day breakfast, hoping that the sausage and bacon could be replaced with something we like. And we got 3 crispy harsh browns, an extra egg and toast. Our experiences with most of the other cafes are that if we opt for meat-free, they’ll just throw in a few more miserable pieces of mushrooms and that’s it. So we are grateful for the generous portion, not to forget mentioning ~ the friendliness too!
Nice easy going place to dine in with a relaxed atmosphere and a nice range of food. Really good for takeaways also, we LOVE the kumara chips with home made aioli – nice short wait for our orders made over the phone with the friendly staff
This is just a brilliant place to come to not matter what you have been doing. I have been in there with all sorts of things going on, Ann and Dave are just outstanding hosts. Food is excellent and service is above that
