  A great place to take overseas people for the view of Auckland. Even at night the lights are spectacular. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the steak meal. Good balance of food with lovely fluffy potatoes on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. Came with roast tomato, kale and prawns.It was a good sized portion, not too big and not too small. In fact we didn’t order dessert but purchased a couple of their muffins to take home for supper later in the evening. We were there on a wet chilli eveningand enjoyed ourselves but I think sitting out on the deck area in the summer would be fantastic.

  This is the second time we have gone to Elevation. We went exactly a year ago, and the whole experience was much better. Tonight we went, and were greeted by the waiter who seated us at one of the tables with very worn out chairs…. there were very few staff/waiters, and also a lack of actual customers, only two other tables were occupied. It took one of the two waiters 20 mins to come to our table to take our order, which with the shortage of people dining was a very long time. The food arrived fairly quickly however. The Chicken parmigiana that I ordered was very soggy, the mashed potatoes were over buttered and tasteless, along with the rest of my dish. My partner ordered the Chicken Kara-age and rice which was quite bland, and the placement of the sauces etc was not the best. For entree we had the Hand cut Fries, which were hard to fault, and also the Parmesan risotto balls, which were lacking flavour also….Overall, we were very disappointed with our meals, of which we didnt finish. The whole restaurant is very outdated, with moss and dirt everywhere outside. The Bathroom was filthy, the sanitary bin was nearly overflowing! And general cleanliness of the whole restaurant was horrible. The waiter was not attentive at all, leaving the till unoccupied for long periods of time, and very rarely checked up with the few customers. Elevation has so much potential, it could be an amazing place for any meal of the day, it just needs a good renovation, clean up, menu fixing and hopefully some management tweaks. We did love the view, as we did last time. We are very hopefully the Elevation will make some changes, because we would love to return, however at its current state, we wont be returning.

  the place was welcoming.the people who served us were polite and chatty. we were well served. the food wa nice with a very nice scenic view. will come back to visit this cafe again.. 🙂
