Came here this morning for an early breakfast. Quite well stocked for 6:30 am. We got a Steak and Cheese pie, Potato Top Pie, Mini Cookies and Neenah Tarts. My Potato Top Pie was average it looked better than it tasted. My partners pie was ok. Neenah tart wasn’t great but the Mini Cookies were good. Generally I thought it was a bit over priced for the quality. I have been to other bakeries that charge the same price but the quality of the items are very good. I can’t say I’d come here again.
Bought a pretty looking glad-wrapped apple slice from the plastic cabinets on the right one morning before work, opened it up later to find the entire base of the cake was blue and green with mould. I would suggest sticking to the pies and things that are made fresh over the wrapped food…
So – I pop in to grab a bite for lunch while out and about – they don’t have much option, but then it is about 1pm on a Sunday afternoon, so no worries. I spot an egg and ham sandwich, Brilliant!! Looks like a decent amount of ham, nice looking egg… Take it back to my ambulance station to inhale between jobs, and get some carbs and protein to keep me going for the next 7 hours of my shift… Unwrap the sandwich and think it feels a little weird, so I peel off the top piece of bread… WHO STOLE MY FILLING?!?! One very thin piece of ham, rolled up, and placed across the middle of the sandwich, and one small dollop of egg again across the middle. positioned perfectly to look like an actual sandwich. I would spread out the toppings, but there wasn’t enough to spread!! So this rather hungry Paramedic was stuck chewing on a couple of pieces of rather dry bread with a very slight taste of egg and ham on a couple of bites. Not impressed at all.
