This place got me through my final year of uni. $5 packs of bite size sushi (always made fresh to order) or $6 chicken on rice served as a much needed afternoon meal. The service there is just great, really great local sushi shop and there is also such a good range in the cabinet sushi and deep fried food which always tastes fresh.
It’s great having a sushi place in Herne Bay, since it comes in super handy when I can’t think of anything else to eat. The selection is great, and I love the ‘burnt’ ones, not sure what the correct term is being only an amateur diner… The layout and decor is a bit uninspiring, not much thought or effort has gone into making this outlet exciting, and only a few stools for seating, but otherwise the team here are very friendly and quality impeccable.
Fish bone is great, so glad there is sushi in Herne Bay. First of all the sushi is well priced but has just gone up 10 cents per piece which is fine. The sushi is very generous the chicken is packed in and the angry sauce is amazing. The only thing I could critique is the rice mix it needs to be changed to a sweet sticky rice and Fish Bone will become a 5!!!!
Some of the tastiest sushi in Auckland! Their homemade Japanese Mayo is the best. I used to come here all the time when I worked in the area.
