BEST FISH AND CHIP SHOP AROUND!!!!!! I cant even tell you how nice the fish and chips are from this place. Good value for money a bag of $5 chips feeds a family of 4! Definitely recommend getting the Thai fish cakes and the kumera chips. 🙂
Went here with my husband not so long ago we asked for a certain amount of fish and were denied as the lady behind the till said that four pieces of fish was enough for my husband and I plus three children. Even though We begged to differ she still said that she wouldn’t sell us anymore we went there a week earlier and brought the most expensive fish and I didn’t hear any complaints. We were willing to spend the money I don’t understand why you should dictate what a family should and shouldn’t be eating. How can you possibly predict that four pieces of fish would be enough?
I buy fish and chips from here every Friday night because it is one of the best fish shops around. They have recently started to offer crumbed fish if you want it and it is delicious.
Had a great Tarakihi and chips from here tonight – both were perfect. You can pick any of the fish from the window and they will coat and cook it while you wait 🙂
Best fried snapper in Auckland. Light and crispy batter and exceptionally fresh fish. Get the snapper! Yet to try the chips but always come back for snapper. Only bad point is they don’t open sundays
Really disappointed with our food from here. The chips were just a greasy mess as the oil they were cooked in wasn’t hot enough. The fish was fresh but it was a shame to see it destroyed by too much batter that just soaked up the oil. Yuck.
Typically I avoid fast food, but I make an exception for these guys, and specifically for one thing on their menu…the fish burger. A soft white bun, with a big piece of freshly battered fresh fish, and a dollop of home made coleslaw, and only $4…perfect!I’ve made the mistake of introducing several of my friends to this and they are all now addicted…try it, you will be to.
