Do it forget to add lots of spicy sauce. If you did not add lots of spicy sauce and gave it a low review, then you are a silly billy. The original taste is bland, but with spicy sauce makes it the best. Awesome fresh noodles, meat was yummy too. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5Environment: 3/5Food Quality: 5/5Food Quantity: 4.5/5Price: $20pp

Came here by accident because the place we had planned to eat was closed on Sunday. Fantastic location, clean shop with water and tea available. We had the Sichuan noodles and Lanzhou beef noodle soup, both were great, you could see the lady pull your noodles and they were the star of the dishes. However, the table next to us had fried noodles which looked even better. I’ll be getting those next time.

Despite the decor being non-existent, Yong’s Hand Pulled Noodle offers amazing noodles. You have about 10 different styles of noodles to choose from with various shape and thickness to suit your own taste bud.Their snacks are all freshly made and delicious, I love their beef noodle soup which has an amazing broth that is nicely balance to not make you feel like you need a shower after. My mum and I now come to this place regularly to try their different dishes.

Yong’s Highland Park eatery is at the iconic building with Mandarin Palace. Inside the small dining area, one can see chefs making pulled noodles in the open kitchen. (However, the chefs’ techniques there were not convincingly professional.) My wife & I had noodles with braised chicken & potatoes, additional beef tendon and Sichuan style cold noodles with beef. Taste-wise – all were good; beef tendon was terribly tough (almost inedible). But anyway, I’ll return for other dishes. (Food – 3/5; Service – 1.5/5; ambience – 2/5)

An okay restaurant, decided to go here because I’m a huge fan of (Lanzhou Lamian).Ordered Spicy braised beef noodle (that’s what it’s called I think) just got noodles and like 2 slices of beef with just little spice. Didn’t enjoy the food, the noodles tasted weird. Not going back again.

The place is cleaner than I thought it would be, with amicable staff. The menu on the walls were all in Chinese, but they also have an English menu at the counter where you order. My family and I went a few weeks ago, where we got the beef hand-pulled soup noodle, braised pork rib soup noodle, two of their burgers (lamb and pork), and a plate of cold sides. The value is good, as it normally is with Chinese eateries like this, and the food was fast to come out, likely because we had arrived pretty early and there was only one other table there, who was already served. We liked the broths. The beef broth was light and not too salty or greasy, and the pork noodle’s soup had a heartier depth of flavour. Both had meat that crumbled as it was was bitten, and the texture of the noodles were softer than the chewier hand-pulled noodles I was expecting. The burgers were a little on the salty side, and the fillings were skimpy, and the cold dishes were okay. All in all, excellent noodle soups. I’d return to try other ones, and perhaps the dry noodles.

Seeing this new place open recently , I just had to try it out. It’s quite a small place, but regardless, customers flooding in didn’t seem to mind. We were seated but then were told to order at the counter which was weird. But anyway, we got the noodle with sliced beef and egg and the braised beef, both with hand pulled noodles. It was pretty cool seeing the man pulling and working the noodle dough in the kitchen. Our food came quickly, but not at the same time. The noodles were pretty average. Nothing that wowed me. The sliced beef was ok but pretty standard and tasteless. The braised beef had more flavour, but again disappointing and tough to chew. I was pretty let down by the whole experience actually. Was expecting some unique tasty flavours, but the noodles didn’t deliver. Unlikely I’ll be back since there are better noodle places out there, but maybe second time’s a charm.
