I have a massive soft-spot for Gold Star Bakery as they are seemingly the only bakery on the Shore (or at least the only one I have found) who still make chocolate crackles. A couple of months ago, we went on a giant crackle hunt from the Hibiscus Coast to the Harbour Bridge and just as I was starting to lose all hope, Gold Star came to the rescue. Of course, since this discovery we have been back many times – their crackles are the stars of the show (in my eyes at least), but their other food is also well worth a visit. In particular, their butter chicken pie is another reason we keep coming back and they have a great selection of filled rolls as well. They also have an insane range of desserts and treats, from all your usual classics to more custom creations. GSB have quickly become one of our favourite bakeries on the Shore. Please don’t stop making the crackles!

All the pies are $3.50 each with plain steak and mince being only $3.00 while all the sweet slices are $2.00. Our prices may vary next year but please don’t ask us to give you the same price of what you have seen on the menu listed in the website because a few customers has forcefully demanded the prices they saw on here. thank you.

It has good sandwiches, muffins and other bread. At really good price. But doesn’t sell coffee and closes too early. It would be nice that they will close at 6pm.
