Food : 5/5Price : 5/5Atmosphere : 3/5Service : 5/5This place is apparently already famous among NZ TW community. I fell in love with beef noodle soup since I went to Taiwan few months ago and I tried to find somewhere in Auckland where I could get authentic beef noodle soup. The restaurants atmosphere is just like the ones I went in Taiwan. They have a variety of very authentic taiwanese food available at really cheap price. I only paid $27 for two large beef noodle soup, two fried eggs, one milk tea and a soft drink. I could never eat a huge portion of good food at this price elsewhere. Soup was very aromatic and strong. There were so many meats in the soup and they were very tender. Noodles were chewy and tasty as well. The food tasted just like the ones I had in Taiwan! This restaurant will definitely be my favourite place to go.

Ive never been more embarrassed at a restaurant. I took my friend here to try, because from what I remembered this place had really nice fried chicken. I ordered the crispy chicken on rice and it says your choice of three vegetables, so I expected to be able to choose however the lady literally was like you dont get to choose you can just sit down. The food was not great at all and the services was unfortunate. The lady was much nicer to the other customers speaking their language. And in nowhere did it say there would be a fried egg. Waste of money, I left and ate somewhere else

I really like this place for a casual meal! It’s more like a Taiwanese street restaurant than anywhere else I’ve been in Auckland. It seems that most people order from the smorgasboard of food either the 1 meat, 3 vege combo (10.50) or the 2 meat, 3 vege combo (13.00). I have been twice in last couple of weeks and the meat seems to stay the same but vege dishes change. Always something delicious in the veges I love them! My favourite meats are the meatballs and the Taiwanese sausage. Some of the others get a little dry since they are out their sauce. I always add on a stewed egg and ask for sauce on the rice or else they drain off the sauce on their spoon for some reason. They also do noodle dishes, hotpot and other things that look really nice that I’m yet to try. Their milk tea is created in bulk then placed in their fridge so not freshly made for you.The interior is old but clean. The people behind the counter always have huge smiles 🙂 so friendly. There’s free hot barley tea, water and clear soup which is always a nice bonus!Plus you should check out Mt Roskill Fresh supermarket across the road as it has great deals on fresh food! Also Yogijis Indian supermarket slightly down the road for it’s amazing bulk bins.

According to my taiwanese friends this is one of the most authentic taiwanese cafe in Auckland. I go there quite often. Their trademark is taiwanese beef noodle soup. The broth is stronger than some of the other taiwanese beef noodle soup I have tried. Whether or not you like that depends on your preference. I like it. One thing I need to point out however is the broth can get quite oily from the cut of meat they use. If you hate oily food it is best to avoid it. They do however have a vast variety of food on menu. Their smorgasbord rice combo is great and very cheap for the giant size serving. Staff are very friendly. Place kept clean.

I think it was best Taiwanese restaurant ive tried so far in Auckland. I had two meat choice and 3 vege set $13.50 and milk tea with bubble. Meat i had pork chop and fried chicken it was well seasoned not too salty and vege were good i had konbu radish which was so good. Very friendly staff perfect for casual lunch place is very run down but bathroom was very clean.

I’m giving it a 4 even though the place looks run down and in a very random area because I come here for the homecooked feel. They do pick and mix style where you get to choose a couple of dishes to go with your rice. It really reminded me of Taiwan. They also do noodle soups etc but I have not tried them. Also I didn’t feel too thirsty after my meal so maybe no msg?
