Would give zero stars if I could.The service stinks, they have forgotten my food on 2 separate occasions.The last time I went servers arrived at the table asking if we ordered plates when we clearly had a number identifying us.The food is average – if you even get it at all.Overall one of the worst cafes in Auckland.Used to be good – a looooooong time ago.AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Coffee was cold so took it back, barista said they would reheat it but I insisted on a new one thanks. One meal came and we had finished before next meal came. Lovely setting, staff were ok though not outstanding.
Went in on a hot day for a nice cold beverage. Asked if they did iced chocolates or frappe was told yes iced chocolate So order one of those a bottle of Phoenix. The Phoenix wasnt very cold at all like it was just put in the tiny fridge and the iced chocolate tasted and looked horrible especially for the price it wasnt very cold also and just tasted like something from the dairy no ice at all in it and the cream came from a lil container in the fridge instead of a can like most places. The cream was all extra thick and tasted horrible and was just scooped onto the cup and scooped off onto the liquid no fancy or effort put into it considering $7.50.Partner felt sick afterwards and didnt even finish the drink. Felt bit let down considering had herd it was a nice cafe.
Worst experience EVER. Food was terrible, cafe was quiet and yet it still took over 30 minutes for my food to come. Service was shockingly bad, wouldnt recommend for anyone NEVER go here!
The food was honestly overpriced for what we were served, although the service and location are nice. We ordered pancakes and French toast, which were okay but served practically the same way with a little bit of fruit on top – a little more thought could have gone into these. As for the drinks: the iced coffee was good and had a nice milkshake type taste, but the caramel macchiato was far too sweet and had a giant layer of milk foam with barely any espresso. They also had some cabinet items that looked quite good but we did not try these.
Bit rude person on the till. I asked if the small flat white can be a double shot because when I went here before their coffee wasnt strong enough for me and I want my coffee strong and less milk but she just told me to just get the large one. She puts it in and just stares at me waiting for me to pay. I felt gutted and annoyed kinda ruined my morning. Anyway, friendly barista though. Had the french toast, it was good.
I used to frequent this cafe very often few years ago but sadly their prices do not match the quality. They are expensive for a cafe and they serve food that is less then average. Few weeks ago a friend and myself decided to give the place another chance… but, i believe its not worth the effort. We ordered a chicken sandwich that arrived very dry with no sauce whatsoever.. there were few pieces of poached chicken in a ciabatta a tiny bit of spread and few unrecognised leaves. It was below average, dry and didnt feel fresh. When I talked to the manager about it , she dismissed me by telling me that no one else complained… bad service and bed food quality. We will not be back again
