Great atmosphere and table setting. Came into flag ship for lunch, waited to be welcomed in and felt a bit awkward standing there waiting for someone to say something. Ordered a small flat white and a mocha. The coffee tasted good but the presentation of the coffee was off putting. Most of my mocha was foam which was not my ideal type of coffee. For lunch we ordered the Angus beef burger and creamy mushroom. The Angus beef burger was good and tasty especially the chips. The creamy mushroom was super salty, too salty for anybodys liking. I tried to hack it but couldnt so we ended up bringing it up to the staff. We knew it was halloumi cheese but I think they put way too much with extra salt because usually I love halloumi with my dish .They handled it well and offered to re make a fresh one which tasted 100 times better. I think there is room for improvement with this place, I wouldnt mind giving it another chance in the future.

We went to this restaurant on Saturday night, just gone. We booked a table for 7 people and were seated quickly, however were only provided with two bottles of chilled water and the two menus on the table.I got up myself and grabbed some more menus off of the table next to us.After about 15mins and a couple of attempts to the the attention of the waiters, our drink orders were taken. We then waiting another 15-20mins for our food orders to be taken. We were asked to repeat ourselves multiple times due to a language barrier, and a lack of staff knowledge of what is on their drinks and food menus. The entrees came out reasonably quickly and were enjoyed by all. However it went downhill again from here….The mains came out in 3 different lots, rather than together. My partners steak was medium rear, not rear so had to be sent back. The salads came out with no dressing. My brothers main order was completely missed, and never passed on to the kitchen staff. So he unfortunately had to wait until everyone else finished their mains before his arrived (free of charge, only because we said we wouldn’t be paying for it).Staff however did not seem to be very apologetic…I orders the seafood dish, which was supposed to have the following – prawns, mussels, fish, and squid in a tomato based sauce. To my disappointment I was given a bowl of rotten seafood, with two prawns, and 3 rotten mussels. No fish or squid to be seen. I ended up handing it back due to the horrific smell and it making it me feel unwell. For a meal costing within the hundreds, this was absolutely appalling. Will not be back.

We were excited to go here for dinner & like to support local places but unfortunately we left disappointed. We went on a Sunday night, so it was understandably quiet. The restaurant area is very brightly light and has quite a cold feeling, we opted to move into the bar area to eat.It started well and we really enjoyed our entrees. We had Crispy Calamari, BBQ Pork Ribs and Southern Fried Chicken Strips. Whilst the food took quite some time to come out the calamari was perfectly cooked & a nice flavoured coating, likewise with the chicken strips. The ribs were nice but they were so heavily coated in BBQ sauce that you it was a bit overbearing, but still very nice. Unfortunately though it was all down hill from there. For mains I had the Warm Lamb Salad and my partner the Rolled Slow Braised Pork Belly. The lamb salad was literally half a bag of mixed lettuce with a couple of slices of capsicum and a few bits of brie thrown in. But the lamb? It was as if it was left overs shredded lamb from a roast night heated up. I had seen a photo on the website where it shows a medium rare lamb rump sliced… this was nothing like it. The dressing was bland. I picked out the brie and and bit of lamb and left the rest. My partners meal was not much better. A huge pile of mashed potato which was really bland, and then a thin slice of overcooked pork on top… We were gutted!I would like to add though that the service was good and young waitress did come over and ask how our meals were having seen that I wasn’t eating mine. I gave her some feedback and she very kindly offered to get her manager and have the chefs make it again, which we appreciated. We declined though as felt we were only going to get the same thing. The chefs in the open kitchen seemed quite unprofessional and on cruise mode. We just asked her to pass our feedback on.Sad to say we won’t be back.

After an energetic bike around Hobsonville we went to the Flagship restaurant at the Westharbour Marina. It is not the easiest place in the world to find, but once you do it is worth a visit. We sat with a great a good view of the boats in the marina and of the city. The menu had the usual options but also items like mussels on offer (my first choice but unfortunately not available that day). We went for the Yusu Fried Chicken and the Beef burger. The yusu marinated chicken was beautifully moist and plentiful, with nice crispy crumbs, and served with rice and a generous salad. The burger was very tasty and the chips were good also. The staff were good and our meals were delivered rapidly. This is a good venue for a lunch on a nice day.

This place is thriving under the new management. Great menu, great staff and a decent price. We really enjoyed our burgers and beersies, will come again.

Food is tasty and the view is great, however in my opinion Flagship is not worth the price and long wait time.Wait time for food was well over 45 mins, the staff did not mention the wait time for food when we ordered. We ordered two seafood chowders and a duck breast. The duck’s portion size was small but that’s expected for a main at a place as such. The seafood chowder was missing the bread and other ingredients that were present weeks before when we came by, the staff explained that they were having a busy night. However the restaurant was not even half full. This restaurant is poorly equipped for any occasion where they are not quiet. There are many bistro type restaurants around the area such as Goode Brothers and Lonestar that offer similar quality of food for the same price and a much shorter wait time. Flagship is great for the view and for when it’s quiet but if you want a reliable dining experience no matter which night of the week it is, I suggest going else where.

Very nice setting next to the Marina. The service was good and the food was excellent at very reasonable prices. We had the confit duck and our grand daughter had a Caesar salad. My only disappointment was the price of a mocktail at $14 which consisted mainly of juices. Will go again for the food but not the mocktails.
