We have been to Fast Eddies several times for Fish and Chips. The last couple times we were really dissapointed, especially with the fish. Moreover, the behaviour of the people behind the counter gave us really the impression thatthey rather don’t have any customers. The lady taking our order didn’t great us and was very impatient (and no, there was not a whole bunch of people waiting in line). Now we have changed to the Real Catch, a little bit of a drive but definitely worth it.
Eddie seems to be slowing down a bit aye. Waited 25 mins for soggy chips and soggy fish, please rename to white water world. Go to the count down and buy some frozen chips and microwave them for a better experience. Chur

Had some fresh snapper and some chips for dinner, the chips were crispy as. When they say their fish is fresh, its legit fresh; you can even see for yourself. The shop itself is kept clean and tidy which was great. I would totally recommend it

A few years ago this place, under the old owner, used to be brilliant and won awards. Now it is in my opinion a DISASTER.Soggy batter on the fish and using ready made McCains Chips which were under cooked and both watery and tasteless.I think the old awards boards are still left up but this place has steadily gone downhill. I also ordered 6 prawn cutlets and on placing them on the plate found the breadcrumbs were burnt. I usually do my own Fish and Chips but an occassional treat is nicebut NO LONGER WILL I USE FAST EDDIES in Howick.
