This takeway is my preferred choice if I want to have a takeaway meal. Every dish I have tried has always been very good. I particularly like their BBQ Pork Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork and their Fried Rice is always very tasty.
After a long day and an event over I wanted to get some dinner as we had nothing at home. Howick Chinese Food Takeaway was the only place still open at 9:50pm but they only had hot chips. The staff were polite and my order came out quickly. The chips were edible but too greasy. The potato was cooked but not soft in the centre with pale un-crispy skin. But I guess beggars can’t be choosers.
The sweet and sour pork here is fantastic!Was disappointed that the pork didn’t come with rice, however they did an awesome job on the pork. Tender and actually tastes like pork.I like it, may come back and try something else.Showstopper: probably the best S&S pork I’ve had in a while, visually the meal is incredibly tempting.Overall Grade: B
No a bad choice for a good Chinese smorgasbord or order your own very clean and friendly service will be back here good selection without being over done for choice
Awful – ordered a vegetarian noodle dish. Pretty much no noodles just a box of veg in sauce. Also ordered veggie spring rolls (confirmed on the phone about 3 times to ensure there was no meat in them) – got them home, meat in them! Shocking, threw everything away and won’t be returning.
