Great food – very tasty and always enjoyed by us- very fresh and fantastic to eat. Especially liked the tuna and chicken teriyaki sushi was very tasty
Delish!!! Their Fried Rice and Tempura is to die for! A bit on the pricey side but yum AF! Lovely staff and great location and their Katsu Chicken is beyond epic.! Will definable be back
The best Japanese stop-in for the whole of Howick and Pakuranga combined. We’ve eaten here several times and the food is always made fresh, the portions are great for the price and the people there are so incredibly lovely. I have had no fears eating sushi from Yoshi while pregnant, because they prepare everything so fresh and keep a super clean restaurant and kitchen. Could not recommend it more!
Always a great experience here. Have only been coming here for a short period but tried a good variety of the menu and love it. Staff are always friendly 🙂
Really enjoy this place, there sushi is made fresh to order which is awesome, we tried the tuna and the tempura prawn and both were great, there karaage is one of my faves Always my go too at this place, my partner enjoys the pork katsu only complaint is i do find the sauce is a bit on the sweeter side.
Ever since Makado closed I’ve been looking for replacement. The food isn’t as good as Makado was but it’s decent enough for price and quick above average meal; rating place as takeaway place (you can eat there but seating is very limited) but as takeaway japanese food goes you could do far worse. I tend to order teryaki chicken donburi or the tempura prawn (you don’t get too much prawns though) bento boxes.. sushi is also made fresh.
Ordered a Chicken Katsu Bento box, tasty enough, the sushi pieces in the bento was surprisingly fresh. Can’t really fault the bento however the meal did leave me still a bit hungry so portion is a concern.Not a bad Japanese addition to Howick and the staff were friendly and attentive. Showstopper: Consistency Overall Grade: B-
