Tried the chicken burger from this place a while ago it was very nice and filling and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming, it was a nice meal and I’d go back again if I was ever in the area
Great place to have a quick munch or a nice breakfast before a roadtrip. plenty of variety at this place and pricing isn’t too bad either. Eggs were just the way I asked, the bacon was just right and hash browns were golden and crispy. Chocolate shakes aren’t too bad either. The Autobahn Cafe doesn’t use cheap ingredients which makes its so much better.
This is a chain cafe so I took that in to account when writing this reviewFood: eggs benedict, pretty simple, pretty plain. Everything was average, about what you’d expect. Eggs were over cooked yet watery (yolk was half solid, but heaps of water made it to the plate with the poached egg). Bacon was middle bacon, crispy which was cooked, but batch cooked, so warm at best. Hollandaise was light in colour and flavour. Ambience: fine, background music, buzzing cafeService: actually very good, friendly, smiley and lovely.
Stopped here to pick up some food for the drive put of town. Had salmon pot pie (delicious), spinach & feta quiche (good), almond croissant (very good). All cabinet food was really good. Staff and service great too. Lots of seating and typical service station eatery ambience. Close to toilet.
I used to like this cafe until i had a terrible experience last december with one of the staff here. She was indian or fijian and she gave me the ugliest look when i asked for a cup for takeaway…aside from that, she also talked about me with the other staff…just because i have a feeling that she was just too lazy to move her bum that day…if i own that restaurant i will definitely put a camera to spy on how my staff treat our customers and i will definitely fire her on the spot!

A great place to dine. Staff super friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Only thing I have to complain about is twice I have ordered the fish and both times I have come across bones..
