come to here pretty often in the past. Recently their food is not as good as before. Stopped going there. See a good restaurant eventually becomes like this is bit sad. Hope you can do better in the future. All the best.
We decided to try this place after having their Peking Duck as takeaway which was quite nice. However our dining experience wasnt good. The service was non-existent, and the food was below average. We even found hair in our dishes. Not a place Id go back or recommend for sure.
Although it says ‘roast duck’, in reality I don’t actually eat duck. But I did order something from here not so long ago. Coming back to Mt. Eden after visiting some mates, I was still hungry after eating at their place. And what better to get than some Fried Rice and Chicken, one of my favourite dishes when it comes to cheat days (I’m supposed to eat healthy during rugby season, but you gotta have cheat days once in a while *wink wink*. Their fried rice was so steamy and fresh like making rice at home but their one is like 1000x better. Their chicken was also fresh and delicious, rice and boneless meat go well hand in hand and they executed very well. They provided some good service, nothing out of the ordinary. Although the waiting time was a bit long, but like I always say ‘good things take time’. They offered me some free compliments which was nice.Like all the other shops in Dominion Rd, It was hard choosing which shop to go to. Looking from outside it just looks like an ordinary casual dining place. Even though I don’t eat duck, I thought I wanted to try for the very first time, but I opted to get something else instead. Going inside, it’s just like any other asian restaurant, but with a tiny taste of European in terms of their tables and chairs.
The service was almost non-existent, I witness the waitress telling one customer to get the cutlery herself and the poor lady was confused. The food was average but comes in big portions. If you want good food but can not bat an eye on the bad service, you may enjoy Beijing Roast Duck.
Went to this restaurant as a last resort for Mother’s Day, and sadly we had a horrible experience.Service was bad. The place was short staffed, and the two waitresses there were inattentive and unwelcoming. Wet plates and cups were just placed on one side so we had to set up our table ourselves.Despite being the only customers on the bottom floor, food was slow and the waitress slammed a plate of food on our table. The food was below average. Everything tasted of MSG, and there was nothing special about any of the dishes. There were fruit flies all around our food and a hair was found in one of the dishes.Overall, our experience was very unpleasant and we will not be coming back anytime soon.
Good service and good food. Friendly staff and the owner was friendly too. He always confirmed that everything was ok. Good menu. All together good service would go back any time. The only thing is no credit function for card user.
